Mytifly takes your personal data seriously and is committed to upholding a high standard when it comes to our privacy practices. We believe in being upfront about how your personal data and privacy is being handled.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect the personal data that you have provided to us and/or that we possess about you. This Privacy Policy is also designed to assist you in making an informed decision before providing us with any of your personal data.

This policy explains our privacy practices for the websites, Mytifly.com, Mytifly.com.sg www.Kidiparty.com, www.Kidiparty.com.sg and websites hosted by Mytifly (collectively, the “Sites”), mobile applications and services provided by Mytifly Pte. Ltd. and its subsidiaries (collectively referred to as “Mytifly”) (the Sites, mobile applications and services provided by Mytifly are collectively referred to as the “Services”).

While using our services, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you. Personal identifiable information may include, but is not limited to, your name, identification number, phone number, postal address, email address, other information (“personal data").

By visiting our Sites and using our Services, you are accepting the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not consent to the processing of your personal data as described in this privacy policy, please do not use our services or access our Sites. Any external links to other websites are clearly identifiable as such, and we are not responsible for the content or the privacy policies of these other websites.

 

1. Information Collected or Received

Mytifly will not sell or disclose your personal data to third parties without your explicit consent, except as specified in this policy.

As a Mytifly member you are required to provide a valid email address at registration and optionally choose a username or alias that may represent your identity on Mytifly.

Depending on which services you choose to use, Mytifly may require additional information, such as gender, date of birth, billing information (including billing address, phone number, credit card information), a mobile telephone number, a physical mailing address, and/or payment information. As a Provider (a.k.a. “Partner”), Mytifly may require information such as your identification number, date of birth, bank account information and/or credit card information in order to verify your identity and provide this service to you.

You may optionally choose to provide your full name and other personal data (such as birthday, gender, location) to be publicly displayed in connection to your account and activity.

Your username, Mytifly ID, alias, or first name and last name is publicly displayed and connected to your Mytifly activity. Other people may see your date joined, feedback, ratings, profile information, likes, deal location, items listed for sale, sold item listings, and comments in community spaces.

Mytifly automatically receives and records some information from your browser when you visit the Sites, such as your computer's Internet Protocol (IP) address, cookies, browser type, browser version, the pages of our service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages and other statistics through the use of log files provided by our third-party tracking-utility partners. The purpose of the information is for analysing trends, administering the site, tracking users’ movement on the website, and gathering demographic information.

Some members or visitors may connect to or register an Mytifly account using an external third-party application, such as Facebook, or an app developed using the Mytifly API.

Mytifly may receive some data from those connected third-party applications. Connecting your Mytifly account to third-party applications or services is optional, and when you connect your account to an external app, you will be given the opportunity to grant permission. You can revoke your permission under your Mytifly account settings.

Mytifly uses the information described in this policy to provide and improve our services and products, for billing, for identification and authentication purposes, to contact members or interested parties, and for general research and aggregate reporting.

 

2. Choice & Control

We know members of our community value having control over their own information, and therefore Mytifly gives you the choice of providing, editing or removing certain information, as well as choice over how we contact you.

You may change or correct your Mytifly account information (except your username) at any time. You may remove certain optional information you no longer wish to be publicly visible, such as your full name.

For various reasons, Mytifly may contact you about our services or your activity. Some of these messages are required, service-related messages for members. Other messages are not required, and you can control which optional messages you choose to receive by changing your settings in your account. If you have optionally connected your account to an external, third-party application, such as Facebook, or an app developed using the Mytifly API, you can remove permission for the app by changing your account settings.

If you no longer wish to use Mytifly's services or receive service-related messages, then you may close your account.

 

3. Messages from Mytifly

Mytifly will send you messages occasionally. The default required form of communication is email.

Some messages from Mytifly are service-related and required for members. Examples of service-related messages include, but are not limited to: a welcome/confirmation email when you register your account, notification of offers or sales, or correspondence with Mytifly's support team. These messages are not promotional in nature. You may not opt-out of receiving service-related messages from Mytifly, unless you close your account.

As a member, Mytifly may also send you messages related to certain features on the site or your activity. Mytifly may also send you news or updates about changes to our site or services. By default, members will receive these messages via email, but you may choose to opt-out of getting certain emails.

 

4. Community

Mytifly is both a marketplace and a community. We offer several features that allow members to connect and communicate in public or semi-public spaces. Please use common sense and good judgement when posting in these community spaces or sharing your personal data with others on Mytifly. Be aware that any personal data you submit there can be read, collected, or used by others, or could be used to send you unsolicited messages. Mytifly generally does not remove content from community spaces, and your posts may remain public after your account is closed. You are responsible for the personal data you choose to post in community spaces on Mytifly.

Our Services enable Mytifly members to share personal data with each other, on almost all occasions without Mytifly’s involvement, to complete transactions. In a typical transaction, users may have access to each other’s name, user ID, email address and other contact, postage and/or billing information. Our Terms of Service require that Users in possession of another User’s personal data (the “receiving Party”) must

  1. comply with all applicable Privacy Laws;
  2. allow the other user (the “Disclosing Party”) to remove him/herself from the Receiving Party’s database; and
  3. allow the Disclosing Party to review what information has been collected about them by the Receiving Party.

 

5. Information Sharing & Disclosure

We respect your privacy. Mytifly will not sell or disclose your name, email address or other personal data to third parties without your explicit consent, except as specified in this policy.

Mytifly limits access to your personal data to employees who we believe reasonably need to come into contact with that information to provide products or services to you or in order to do their jobs.

As part of the buying and selling process, Mytifly will share information between the two members involved in the transaction. You may obtain another Mytifly member's email address, shipping address, payment information, and/or other information. As described in Mytifly's Terms of Service, you have a limited license to use this information only for Mytifly-related communications or for Mytifly-facilitated transactions. Mytifly has not granted you a license to use the information for unsolicited commercial messages. Without express consent from that person, you must not add any Mytifly member to your email or physical mailing list.

Mytifly may release your personal data to a third-party in order comply with a subpoena or other similar legal procedure, or when we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to comply with the law; prevent imminent physical harm or financial loss; or investigate or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, or violations of Mytifly's Terms of Service. We may disclose personally identifiable information to parties as we in our sole discretion believe necessary or appropriate in connection with an investigation of fraud, intellectual property infringement, piracy, or other unlawful activity. In such events, Mytifly may disclose name, address, country, phone number, email address and company name.

Mytifly is affiliated with a variety of businesses and works closely with them. These businesses may offer promotions or sell items or services to you through Mytifly's Services. Mytifly may also provide services or sell products jointly with affiliated businesses. Due to the nature of our business model, when an affiliated business is associated with your transaction, we may share information that is related to such transaction with that affiliated business. Mytifly may share aggregated demographic information with business partners.

In some cases, Mytifly may choose to buy or sell assets. In these types of transactions, member information is typically one of the business assets that is transferred. Mytifly will transfer information about you if Mytifly is acquired by or merged with another company. In this event, Mytifly will notify you by email or by putting a prominent notice on the site before information about you is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

When you a load a page on Mytifly that has a social plug-in from a third-party site or service, such as a Like or Send button, you are also loading content from that third-party site. That site may request cookies directly from your browser. These interactions are subject to the privacy policy of the third-party site.

If you provide your information to others on Mytifly or throughout the Internet, different rules may apply to the use or disclosure of the information you provide to them. We encourage you to ask questions before you disclose your personal data to others.

 

6. Service Providers

Mytifly may employ other third-party companies and people to facilitate our service, to provide the service on our behalf, to perform service-related services or to assist us in analysing how our service is used. We may need to share your information with them to provide products and services to you. Examples include but are not limited to fulfilling orders, processing payments, handling billing disputes and collections, analysing data, providing marketing assistance and providing customer service. Mytifly may partner with third-party services for fraud prevention and/or identity verification.

These third parties have access to your personal data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

 

7. Links to Other Sites

Our Service may contain links to other sites that are not owned, controlled or operated by us. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that third-party's site. We strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of every site you visit.

Mytifly does not control the privacy policies of third parties, and you are subject to the privacy policies of those third parties where applicable. Mytifly assumes no responsibility for the content, privacy or security practices of other any third-party sites or services on the Internet, even those linked to or from the Mytifly site.

 

8. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

Mytifly uses a variety of technologies to help us better understand how people use our site and services.

Cookies are files with small amount of data, which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a web site and stored on your computer's hard drive.

We use "cookies" to collect information for a number of purposes, including to access your information when you sign in; keep track of preferences you specify; the pages on the website that you accessed or visited; display the most appropriate content based on your interests and activity on Mytifly; estimate and report Mytifly's total audience size and traffic; conduct research to improve our content and services. The information is used to optimize the users’ experience by customizing our web page content based on your browser type and/or other information. You can configure your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of our service.

Mytifly may partner with third-party services who may use various tracking technologies, such as browser cookies or Flash cookies, to provide certain services or features. These technologies allow a partner to recognize your computer each time you visit Mytifly, but do not allow access to personally identifiable information from Mytifly. Mytifly does not have access or control over these third-party technologies, and they are not covered by our privacy statement.

 

9. Security

The security of your personal data is important to us. Your Mytifly account information is protected by a password. It is important that you protect against unauthorized access of your account and information by choosing your password carefully, and keeping your password and computer secure by signing out after using our services. Mytifly encrypts sensitive information (such as credit card number) using secure socket layer technology (SSL).

Mytifly follows generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal data submitted to us, both during transmission and once Mytifly receives it. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

 

10. Data Retention

Mytifly will retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. If you no longer want Mytifly to use your information to provide you services, you may close your account. Following account deactivation, public information such as your username, public bio, items listed, public comments, favourites and follows will be removed. Private communication between users such as chats and offers made are not information that is specific to your account alone. As such, these are not part of your account and will not be deleted upon account deactivation.

We will retain personal data in accordance with the Privacy Laws and/or other applicable laws. That is, we will destroy or anonymise your personal data as soon as it is reasonable to assume that

  1. the purpose for which that personal data was collected is no longer being served by the retention of such personal data;
  2. retention is no longer necessary for any legal or business purposes.

If you cease using the Sites, or your permission to use the Sites and/or the Services is terminated, we may continue storing, using and/or disclosing your personal data in accordance with this Privacy Policy and our obligations under the Privacy Laws. Subject to applicable law, we may securely dispose of your personal data without prior notice to you. Mytifly will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

 

11. Requesting access to Personal Data

You may request access to your personal data in our possession at any time by sending an email to support@mytifly.com.

If you wish to request access to another user’s personal data, we will not be able to release such information unless it is for the purposes of pursuing legal action and/or any other relevant action for which such information is duly necessary. In such cases, your request must be accompanied by a letter from an official law enforcement body, such as the Courts or Police Force, or any other relevant legal body which Mytifly is required to comply with.

 

12. Children's Privacy

Mytifly's Terms of Service require all account owners to be at least 18 years of age (or have the permission and supervision of a responsible parent or legal guardian), therefore, this policy does not address use of our site or services by minors.

We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 18. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with Personal data, please contact us immediately and we will do our best efforts to promptly remove such information from our records. If we discover that a child under 18 has provided us with Personal data, we will delete such information from our servers immediately.

 

13. Privacy Policy Changes

Mytifly reserves the right to modify this privacy statement at any time. We will communicate changes by posting a notice on the site. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. If we make material changes to this policy you will be notified here, by email, or other places Mytifly deems appropriate. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
