Making an Origami Pig 🐷 - Part 2

Welcome back!

Now that you have completed the pig's head, it is time to attach a body to your adorable pig's head.

Part 2: Pig's Body

Things you’ll need:

  • 1 x Coloured Origami Paper or 1 x red packet (ang bao)

Origami pig's body step 1 square piece of paper#1 - Take another square piece of paper, fold the paper into half and unfold back to create a line at the centre. Fold the top and bottom, and have them meet at the centre.

Origami pig's body step 2 fold paper into half#2 - Fold the paper into half and unfold back to create a line at the centre. Fold the top and bottom, and have them meet at the centre, then unfold back.

Origami pig's body step 3 open up the right panel and fold the ends diagonally outwards #3 - Open up the right panel and fold the ends diagonally outwards to create a crease line. Repeat for the left panel.

Origami pig's body step 4 Rotate the paper and create a slightly slanted fold#4 - Rotate the paper and create a slightly slanted fold at the top and bottom.

 

Origami pig's body step 5 Fold the corners and have them meet with the slanted folds#5 - Fold the corners and have them meet with the slanted folds. Then, unfold them to create the crease lines.

Origami pig's body step 6 Fold against the crease line#6 - Fold against the crease line (1), then fold in again (2). Repeat for the other 3 corners.

Origami pig's body step 7 Fold a small triangle inwards at all 4 corners#7 - Fold a small triangle inwards at all 4 corners.

Origami pig's body step 8 Flip the paper over and attach the pig's head to the body with glue#8 - Flip the paper over and attach the pig's head to the body with glue/double-sided tape.

Origami pig's body step 9 Voila, your pig's head has a body now#9 - Voilà, your pig's head has a body now! 🐖
